Psalms for Hard Times

Lem LanePsalms, SermonsLeave a Comment

How do we approach God, when times are hard? When trials are so heavy, it feels as if we will be crushed under their weight, how do we go to God in those moments? Psalms of lament have a great deal to teach on this topic. We can go to our God and cry out honestly from our broken hearts, moving then to petitioning Him to move to meet our needs, and being firmly planted in a deep-rooted trust in His covenant faithfulness and power.

Though we sometimes feel abandoned, God is always near. Though we sometimes feel as if He doesn’t hear us, His ear is always open to our cry. Be encouraged by God’s Word today, in your intense trials, to cry out and trust God.
