Theological Deception

In today’s passage, Jesus is confronted by the Sadducees and presented a question about the resurrection. In His response, Jesus points out that the Sadducees are very much deceived. Their deception does not only affect their view of the afterlife. Their deception is such that it proves they don’t actually know the God of the Bible. In other words, their theological ignorance led to their theological deception. The same danger exists for us today. The less we understand of what the Bible reveals about God, the more susceptible we are to believing a lie. Preached by Lem Lane on November 18, 2018 Mark 12:18-27
