Feasting on Christ: Our daily bread

In the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus gives us bullet point petitions we are to pray to the Father. One of those is, “Give us this day, our daily bread.” This petition clearly reveals our dependency upon the Lord, as well as God’s on no one. And yet, we are also reminded, that we as God’s people do not live on bread alone, but on every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God.
