Wisdom's sermon

In the concluding verses of Proverbs 1, Solomon personifies wisdom. Wisdom is depicted as crying aloud in the public places for all to hear and respond. Lady Wisdom, issues a rebuke, a promise, a warning, and a clear prophecy of the doom coming to all who refuse to answer her call. She then concludes by laying out the two paths, wisdom and foolishness, that lay out the trajectory for the remainder of the book. We must heed wisdom’s call and follow God, especially as we are led to trust in Christ.
