God chooses the foolish

In the previous passage, Paul reminded the Corinthians of the seemingly weak and foolish message of the cross, which was God’s power to save those whom He called to Himself. In this passage, Paul calls the Corinthians to think back to their conversion into Christianity, and remember their status in the world. They too, for the most part, were considered weak and foolish. The majority of the Corinthians were not the cream of society. Therefore, they had no reason to be prideful, and divide over ministry personalities and styles. The same is true for us.
Reflecting upon our conversion reveals, only God deserves praise!
