Self dependence vs God dependence

As the Passover meal closes, and Jesus’ death draws even closer, He goes with His disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane to pray. Jesus is weighed down under the load, and His humanity shrinks back from the coming pain of enduring God the Father’s wrath. What Jesus models, and explicitly teaches, is that His followers should depend upon God, not self, in order to live in victory. Listen to God’s Word, as we learn from Jesus’ model and teaching.
